Many Moons To Go

Well today is my anniversary! *sings "Do you know what today is? It's our anniversary. It's our anniversaryyyyy"* No, not to my boo but to my baby, Young NOT Foolish! Today not only marks YNF's third birthday but it is also the day I became an entrepreneur. I had no idea that the service of its namesake taking place July 26, 2014 would be the day I gave birth to Young NOT Foolish, the movement first and business second. I, the business student, still in pursuit of my degree did everything backwards those few short years ago, but we are here to stay. I jumped off of a cliff, and while I was free falling, I hit the rock and debris and eroded pieces fell leaving holes for me to place my hands. I've been holding on ever since... I have had much heartache with this journey, but I also have had sweet victory in various forms. Saying that these three years haven't been easy would be an understatement, but it has been worth it. It won't be easy. It may not become a cakewalk, but as long as the movement is moving and the business grows,  it's all good. Many people don't know what YNF is, but soon they will. I don't have to gain popularity or recognition. I just YNF to shine and shake up some things. I want to see that mission going forth and as long as there's breath in my body, it will. I am so grateful to God for what we have experienced and what He has in store. I thank each and every person who has supported me through this process. Though I am the owner-operator with no employees as of yet, I have had help. To name every single person would take a bit much so I'll just name a few. Thank you to the most wonderful parents on this side of Heaven -my Mom and Dad- and my willing volunteers Tiff, Bryonna, Tiffani, Cierra, Linds, Barbara, and my godbaby Ivon. There are many more people who have encouraged me through this voyage which means so much; you know who you are. I love you all more than you know. If no one has shown you today, I love you but God loves you better. -K.T.B P.S. You will be seeing us more often because we have laid dormant long enough. On the 5th of August, we will be amongst other local small businesses as a vendor at Detroit Sip's Neighborhood Day from 9am-5pm. Entry to the event is free and Detroit Sip is on W McNichols nears Livernois. We can't wait to sed all of your faces, and don't forget to head over to the Store (Women and Men) to get your tickets for YNF's Evening of Painting August 12th at 5pm. It'll be awesome!
